We are Simple Focus Films, an award-winning Los Angeles based production company founded in 2000. We tell stories. We fall in love with our characters, even when we don’t like them. We care about connections on and off the screen. We only make good mistakes. We are a collaborative film, television, branded content, and commercial production company that has worked with: Universal Studios, Netflix, Amazon Studios, Showtime, Hallmark Channel, CBS Networks, AT&T, Red Bull, NFL, NBA, NASCAR, and ESPN to name a few.
Film & Television
Simple Focus Films (AKA Matthew Coppola) developed, wrote, directed, and produced the award-winning feature film Fresh Cut Grass, winner of multiple film festival awards and acquired by Showtime Networks Inc and Netflix. Matthew also wrote and Executive Produced Hallmark Channel’s Love On Ice and Christmas at The Palace. Matthew wrote My Adventures With Santa for Universal Studios, one of the most-watched Christmas movies on Amazon Prime in 2020/21. Matthew wrote and directed the feature film Every Last Secret, released in 2022, starring Sophie Turner and Ray Liotta.
